Their interior designer, however, had provided no detailed drawings. CRAYDL performed a complete home scan to capture every detail, then integrated the interior design specifications into the model for confident decision-making before any field work began.

The “5-Inch” Miracle
The designer’s plans included 5 inches of non-existent space. Custom cabinetry would have failed to fit on-site. The virtual model flagged the discrepancy before construction, preventing $20,000 in tear-out and re-ordering fees.
Eliminating “Homeowner’s Regret”
2D blueprints failed to communicate the fireplace design intent. Upon walking through the 3D model, the homeowners realized:
- Stone facing was incomplete—it didn’t wrap the walls
- The mantle appeared undersized for the space scale
- The design didn’t match their functional expectations
The design was redesigned virtually in real-time. Minimum $15,000 prevented in masonry demolition and rebuild costs.
